                            MELON PAN 


   
      Melon pan is sweet bread from Japan in the form of biscuit dough bread (pastries) on top. melon bread, this bread doesn't taste melon at all, it's just a round shape and the top of the bread looks like melon skin. Biscuit dough is made from eggs, flour, granulated sugar, and butter.

     Melonpan is a snack consisting of Japanese bread. Melonpan has been recognized by many Japanese over 10 years ago.
     Melonpan does not have melon flavor. However, at this time there are many melonpan containing melon cream in it. In addition, there are also melonpan containing chocolate chips, green tea flavors, and so on.
      In addition, in some regions of Japan, there is also a round shape melonpan as we have introduced at the beginning. For example melonpan which is shaped like a rugby ball and cocoa fruit.
      When melonpan was first made, it can be given that melons in Japan are shaped like makuwauri (a type of bobbin-shaped melon). The shape of this melonpan spindle is a relic of the "era" of this makuwauri melonpan. In fact, when compared to the round shaped melonpan, the spindle-shaped melonpan has a longer history.

    There are recipe to make Melon pan ,that is ;
 1. Ingredient

  • 75g butter
  • 60g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 200g cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon skin
  • Sugar

 2. Ways to make Melon Pan

  • Add butter and sugar in a mixer bowl then mix for 2 minutes.
  • Add eggs and mix.
  • Then add again with cake flour, vanilla and lemon, then mix until.
  • Lengthen the cake mixture and let it cool for 30 minutes.
  • After the dough is let stand for 15 minutes.
  • Cut the cold cookie dough into 8 pieces, 12 cm in diameter.
  • Also prepare bread dough that has been made before and make it into 8 parts.
  • After that, cover the bread mixture with a round of dough to form the ball.
  • Roll the surface of the bread with sugar, and the top of the iris forms special melon pan strokes.
  • Place it on a baking sheet with baking paper and let it rise for 45-60 minutes.
  • Bake at 400F for 9-10 minutes.
